Fort Lee BDA welcomes Aquarius Seafood Restaurant to Main Street shopping corridor

FORT LEE, NJ—The Business District Alliance (BDA) of Fort Lee welcomed Aquarius Seafood Restaurant Cafe to the business community with a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 19, 2016. The new restaurant, located on 230-234 Main Street, brings a modern take on Cantonese cuisine to the diverse dining options in Fort Lee.

Though Aquarius specializes in Cantonese seafood, their diverse menu boasts a variety of classic dishes, daily dim sum and desserts—all complemented by a full-service bar. The restaurant’s atmosphere reflects the philosophy behind the menu—trend setting, aesthetically modern and heavily influenced by traditional design.

Owner Leo Le, an Aquarius and long time Fort Lee resident, has spent a lifetime in the hospitality industry, internationally gathering a wealth of service and management insight and inspiration. An experienced restaurateur, Le also owns and manages Joyce, a specialty Szechuan restaurant on 478 Kinderkamack Road in River Edge.

“I started out studying hospitality management in China and became a manager of a hotel and restaurant,” Le said. “On my last visit I saw that the food in China was moving forward and becoming more modern. Here

[in America] the Chinese food has stayed the same—it has not changed much. So I thought that I could bring new life to the traditional Chinese food here.”


Although the restaurant’s menu already expands well beyond 100 unique dishes, Le is certain that this is just the beginning of his culinary aspirations.

Avid about bringing the borough new dining experiences, Le hopes to expand his menu as he learns what dishes his guests are most hungry for. “We will introduce new specials as we see what diners enjoy most,” the restaurateur promised.
“We are very excited to welcome Aquarius to the borough,” said BDA Executive Director, Stuart Z. Koperweis. “They serve delicious food in a very trendy dining room. It’s a beautiful centerpiece in the heart of Main Street.”
