New hair salon a welcome addition to Main Street’s make-over
FORT LEE, NJ—The Business District Alliance (BDA) of Fort Lee welcomed Artistic Beauty Studio to the business community with a ribbon cutting ceremony on December 16, 2015. Located on 208 Main Street, the salon is one of many recent additions to the refurbished shopping corridor.
Artistic Beauty Studio cuts, dresses, styles and grooms hair of all types—straight, wavy and curly. The versatile hairdressers cut both men and women’s hair, and are bilingual in English and Spanish. The salon also offers eyebrow threading on weekends, with plans to expand their services with facials.
In addition to owning and running Artistic Beauty Studio, Zoraida Santana also produces her own line of high-end hair care products called Jas, that includes a wide range of shampoos, conditioners, colors, oils and sprays.
With all the attention that running her own salon and product line demands, Zoraida still makes time for the most important part of her business—styling hair and spending time with customers.
“My clients are so very loyal,” Zoraida commented. “For now, I am usually only available to cut hair and style on the weekends, but my regulars are always willing to wait.”
The native Dominican brings over 25 years of hairdressing experience to the borough. She got her start by doing her children’s hair back before opening her first salon in Washington Heights in 1995. She then took her styling talents to Fort Lee in 1998.
“The salon is a fantastic addition,” said Mayor Mark Sokolich. “It’s a nice touch to the mix of stores on Main Street which is so important.”
“We’re proud to welcome Artistic Beauty Studio to the community,” commented Stuart Z. Koperweis, Executive Director of the BDA. “Zoraida and her staff are all very skilled, friendly and polite—and from experience, her hair care products are superb.”
