Fort Lee welcomes luxury consignment Boutique Luxe to Main Street shopping corridor
FORT LEE, NJ—The Business District Alliance (BDA) of Fort Lee welcomed Boutique Luxe to the business community with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, March 10. The luxury consignment specializes in dealing designer label fashion and is owned and operated by Fort Lee resident Jinhee Park. Attendees included Mayor Mark Sokolich, Councilman Harvey Sohmer and representatives from the BDA.
Boutique Luxe’s inventory boasts high-end men’s and women’s apparel, including jewelry, timepieces, handbags, shoes and accessories. Ms Park has worked with luxury apparel for over 12 years—first selling handbags online, opening her first store in Queens in 2012 and finally expanding to Boutique Lux in mid February of this year.
“There are handbags in Fort Lee?” said Danielle DelGaudio, a personal stylist who happened upon Boutique Luxe at the ribbon cutting. “I saw the Chanel handbag in the window and almost crashed my car,” the stylist said while appraising the lavish distraction. “We need a store like this in Fort Lee so badly.”
Jinhee Park is explicit in merchandising authentic attire only. Ms Park’s extensive experience authenticating luxury apparel allows her to make the distinction and educate customers on spotting replicas and imitations, especially when wallets, handbags, jewelry and shoes are some of the most costly counterfeited categories online. “Many people don’t know how to spot fakes and I like teaching them how to. It’s fun for me,” Ms Park said.
“This is a great addition to Main Street,” said BDA Executive Director Stuart Z Koperweis. “A lot of Fort Lee residents are looking to shop for high-end brands and Ms Park’s selection really rounds out what our borough has to offer.”
Ms Park is a new resident of the borough, recently moving in to run her latest venture. “A lot of people recommended I come here. My friends told me it was a mixed crowd and I wanted to try,” said Ms Park. “Moving in and opening the store here has been positive and optimistic. So far I love the town
