Owners, Sunny and Tai H Rhee, have been in the restaurant business for forty-five years.  Tai started off her career as a restaurateur at age 30 in Korea, when she opened the renowned Dae Won Gak. The Rhee family then decided to franchise their business and opened the Palisadium Daewon Restaurant & Banquet Center in Cliffside Park, New Jersey.

After traveling back and forth between Korea and the US to manage their restaurant in Cliffside Park, they moved to Fort Lee, NJ permanently in 2001. “Fort Lee was so attractive to us because it can draw in clientele from all over. It has become a second home for us here,” commented Tai H Rhee. The Rhee’s now own and run 3 restaurants in the Fort Lee area; Ko Ryeo Grill, Picnic and the not yet opened Yea Jip.

Fort Lee BDA Executive Director, Stuart Z. Koperweis, is delighted to welcome Ko Ryeo Grill to the business community.

“Ko Ryeo Grill is a beautiful restaurant that offers traditional Korean cuisine with a twist. I’m confident that they will draw people from all over that want to try something new,” he commented.
