Two Main Street businesses were welcomed to the Fort Lee community—Violet’s Florist and Groomingdale Pet Shop—with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, October 19th, 2015.

The welcoming committee in attendance included Borough Mayor Mark Sokolich and several board and staff members of the Ft. Lee Business District Alliance (BDA) and Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Located at 476 Main Street, Violet’s Florist is a European boutique flower shop, specializing in European-style hand-tied bouquets, elegant centerpieces, gift baskets and crystal vases.

Owners Violeta Velickaite and Arthur Carmel also offer services to decorate homes, corporate events, weddings and other celebrations using only the freshest blooms. Their attention to detail and personal service will ensure unique displays, whether you stop in for a small arrangement or plan a large event.

Groomingdale Pet Shop is a specialty dog groomer and purveyor of fine dog foods, treats, toys and accessories. The boutique pet shop, located at 205 Main Street, is owned and run by dog lover Youn Hwa Jee.

The professional groomers offer their expert and affectionate touch to dogs of all breeds and sizes. Come into Groomingdale and spoil your four-legged friend with a trim and a bath.

“The opening of these two new stores represents growth in Fort Lee’s business community,” stated Stuart Z. Koperweis, Executive Director of the BDA. “The businesses are warmly welcomed additions to the borough and the BDA is looking forward to working together with them.”

“We want our businesses to be as successful as possible,” said Mayor Sokolich. “These are great additions to the revitalized Main Street, and it goes to show that Fort Lee is really beginning to blossom.”
